Poolside Server

Director of Food & Beverage

Summary/Objective

This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Food & Beverage and is responsible for taking orders, describing menu items, and serving food and beverage items to members and their guest who are dining poolside. The pool will be opening the week before Memorial day.

Essential Functions

Describes menu items and takes drink orders.

Assists members in selecting their food orders; makes suggestions when appropriate.

Promotes daily specials, new menu items, and healthy alternatives.

Is knowledgeable about all menu items, the garnishes, contents, and preparation methods; is prepared to answer any questions in a direct, concise way.

Refills drinks as needed or requested; gives members and guests updates on their orders as appropriate.

Delivers orders as soon as they are prepared by the kitchen; double-checks to ensure accuracy of orders as prepared.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position requires the ability to work Tuesday through Sunday, with shifts fluctuating from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum 6 months experience as a server in a restaurant or food and beverage setting.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours at one time.
