Associated degree or equivalent course work preferred
-
3-5 years of work experience with children preferred (Examples: conducting mediations, developing behavior interventions, supporting teachers in implementing behavior interventions, analyzing data, resolving complex situations in a school setting)

Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
-
Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse set of stakeholders towards a common goal

Work in collaboration with the Administration and Staff to coordinate climate–related school events
-
Work in collaboration with the Administration and Staff to maintain systems to ensure a positive school climate for all members of the school community
-
Provide leadership to the school community in the prevention, intervention, and response to reports of bullying, discrimination, and otherwise mean-spirited behavior in the school
-
Work in collaboration with the Administration and Staff to ensure implementation of District and School Positive School Climate Plan
-
Membership on the School Improvement Committee
-
Coordinate the school's efforts in gathering multiple measures of school climate (and other related) data
-
Assist in the investigation of reported acts of bullying in accordance with the District School Climate Plan and Board of Education Policy
-
Ensure the implementation of behavioral intervention/response plans
-
Research new programs and developments regarding school climate
-
Maintain confidentiality of student records
-
All other responsibilities as assigned by the Building Administrator

Terms of Employment: 3rd Party Contract; 5 hours per day for 190 days per school year
Contract Commitment/Compensation: $14.42-$15.71 per hour (salary depends on experience).

The School Climate Liaison will serve as the foundation for establishing a safe and effective learning environment by minimizing the loss of instructional time, increasing engaging students and families, and assisting the Administrator and Staff in creating and maintaining an optimal learning environment.
