About this job:
For our Stamford office we are seeking the Pricing Applications Lead to join our IT Underwriting Non Life Unit, which is part of the Group IT department and responsible for all applications in the underwriting area (Pricing & Modeling, Capacity & Exposure Management, Portfolio Management & Optimization).

In this role you will be responsible for all Pricing applications including vendor software and in-house developments, from budget phase to testing and deployment of the new releases, and last but not least the support of the actuarial and underwriting teams. This position includes the follow-up of the relationship with our vendors, the management of the users requests and the IT activities including software development, analysis of the requirements and specification design. • Define the projects for the budget plan
• Analyse and estimate the workload of the users’ requests
• Build the project plan (workload, scope and schedule)
• Studying information needs, system flows, data usage and work processes

• Investigating problem areas

• Producing the required documentation (screen layout, business rules and other documentation)

In cooperation with the provider: Follow-up of PartnerRe’s requets and of the vendor roadmap:

In cooperation with the developers:

• Manage the support and the development of the new releases
• Software Design and Development

Solution Testing, Installation and Support:

• Manage testing on IT side and user support during acceptance test
• Preparing the installation of the solutions
• Producing the required documentation
• Providing second level support

Operations Improvements:

• Conducting systems analysis and recommending changes

About you:
As application manager you have at least four years experience in designing and developing software solutions, and a first experience in management, bringing along the following experience/profile:

• Management of users’s demands and developments
• Proficiency in .NET programming (C#), Web development (Angular, TypeScript, Web Services, WebAPI), databases (SQL Server, TRANSACT-SQL, Oracle), data modeling, and performance tuning of both .NET and T-SQL code )
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing), as you will interact with the IT and the Business community on a daily basis
• High motivation and capable of working in a challenging international environment in across location teams
• Ability to work effectively both within a team and also independently
• Driven towards finding solutions and being responsive
• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance business in particulary pricing and actuarial methods is a plus
• A university degree or equivalent in Computer Science
