The Principal RCM Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from commercial and pharmacy payer financial analysis and reporting, predictive insurance collections models, to preparing and managing necessary data sets for other operational units within Patient Financial Services. The Principal RCM Analyst will be partnering with the executive team and the Director of Revenue Cycle to surface key metrics and unlock vital insights that drive data-informed decisions, predictions, and guide RCM strategies. Most importantly, this role requires a storyteller, someone who can find clarity in large volumes of data and present it in a way that is unbiased, easily consumable, and actionable that supports end users in their day to day activities, and leaders with making critical business decisions.

This position requires the employee to be able to work onsite at the Northridge, CA location 2-3 days per week with the potential to be onsite 5 days per week.

A Day in the Life

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform data analysis and develop/drive and executes innovative strategies to achieve performance metrics, quality, service, and strategic goals.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implements sustainability progress on improvement activities in collaboration with improving performance leaders at the staff and department level.
  • Track performance and quality improvement after processes have been deployed.
  • Prepare and conduct reviews to create accurate performance reports.
  • Monitor and reports progress to leadership regarding performance management, process improvements, and quality.
  • Maintain data on a continuous performance and quality improvement basis. Regularly reports the status of performance and quality improvement efforts and impacts.
  • Ensure data collection is timely, reported regularly, and make recommendations for future improvements based on the data.

Partnering with Leadership

  • Contribute to strategy development for RCM data reporting
  • Develop standard data extracts/reports/analyses for executive team and Director of Revenue Cycle
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in RCM data sets
  • Motivate strategic decisions through reporting of KPI measurements
  • Establish definitions for, and track progress towards, KPIs and report on efficiency of initiatives
  • Liaise with COO and technology partners to build insightful data-driven solutions and dashboards
  • Simplify and communicate complex RCM data concepts to stakeholders across the organization to drive data-driven outcomes
  • Be an adopter and driver of data governance standards and practices
  • Contribute to an analytics and data driven mindset across the company
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 7 years of data analyst experience
OR
  • Advanced degree with 5 years of data analyst experience
Nice to Have
  • US healthcare DME background
  • Project Management – LLS
  • Masters in analytics or data related field
  • Experience creating advanced solutions using Power BI or similar platform
  • Business analysis, report design, project management and presentation skills
  • Exposure to Data Warehouse principles and basic understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies
  • Professional knowledge of data visualization best practices
  • Ability to think creatively to support projects and initiatives
