Process Quality Control Manager - Military Lab(non production)
Job description
The Process Control Manager - Military Quality is responsible for general and specific tasks related to the quality of all military grade product and oversight of the department, while specifically ensuring all inspection processes follow set standards to meet our customer requirements and expectations. There is no in line production quality involved in this role.
This role is inspecting/coordinating with customers/supplier issues regarding issues with incoming outside product(fasteners from suppliers)
This position requires the following functions in order to guarantee a quality product is being supplied to customers in a timely manner: analyzing, training, reporting, directing, supervising, inspecting, quality control, and quality assurance.
This person must be a US Citizen or Naturalized American citizen, detail orientated, have strong reading and math skills and possess excellent communication skills. Promotional opportunities exist for the candidate that is successful in this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the Military QC department to provide customers with a high quality product in a timely manner.
- Handles customer concerns by reviewing paperwork and requirements in order to explain why the ordered product is conforming or nonconforming according to the specifications.
- Communicates with customers and works closely with Military Sales to determine dimensions, correct document errors, and discuss quality issues of fasteners.
- Assists Military QC Inspectors and scans older orders during times of high volume orders or downtime with high level tasks.
- Assigns prioritized tasks to inspectors.
- Analyzes reports to determine what product hasn’t shipped.
- Develops and writes SOP's for the Military Quality department.
- Answers questions and pulls documentation during Navy audits, while also ensuring all documentation and records are retained for a set period of time.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
- Two-year degree or five years of experience in a quality position, some of which involved supervisory tasks in a quality department.
- Experience using gauges, micrometers, calipers, or other inspection tools.
- Engineering or Manufacturing background
- Customer service experience (in any field)
- Fastener knowledge and/or experience with Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- US Citizen or Naturalized American citizen(ITAR position)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
