We are looking for a Product UI Designer and a developer for the Files.com platform
across all UI components to create a delightful user experience. You will be helping
shape the user experience for a leading B2B SaaS platform with a target audience of IT
professionals, Power Users, and other business users across Web, Mobile, Desktop,
Integrations.

We've built a SaaS B2B service for cloud storage, integration, and automation that
businesses use to keep their files and workflows secure and compliant. While it is
challenging to simplify the use of a complex platform, UI and UX is key to our success.
Our apps and marketing websites are driven by a modern frontend React and Gatsby-
based stack. In this position, you will build new designs and improve existing flows,
working directly in React and in Figma and other design tools.

100% Remote Opportunity

The Files.com Frontend Engineering team is 100% remote. However, we travel for regular in-person meetings with the team and the entire company to meet and work together face to face. These meetings are in cities around the US, including Scottsdale, Austin, Orlando, New Orleans, San Diego, Las Vegas, and New York City.

In-person events combine work and fun and are designed to make up for the in-person interaction that occurs in an office job.

Product Designer and Developer duties:

  • Skilled at creating interaction design solutions for desktop, web and mobile
    application
  • Create and maintain primary personas of the product and map to their use of the
    product
  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product
    managers and engineers specific to platform UX
  • Design user journeys across functions from concept to production ready with
    design tools (Figma) - Create prototypes and wireframes
  • Designing graphic user interface elements which will be uniformly used across
    the product: e.g: menus, tabs, tables, and widgets
  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
  • Provide UI design and components and React Front-End to engineering
  • Resolving design-related issues in the app and marketing site by writing JSX and
    advanced CSS directly in a branch
  • Documenting component-level UI in our Storybook.js

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, Adobe Suite, Sketch
  • Proficient in Web development including HTML, JS, CSS, React-JS
  • Skilled at creating interaction design solutions for desktop, web and mobile
    applications
  • Strong visual design skills, able to create compelling, branded, high-fidelity
    product screens
  • Familiar working with design systems that consistently scale across platforms
  • Experience in designing systems and tools to enable cross team interactions and collaboration
  • Foundational skills (at minimum) in Data Engineering, Intelligent Automation, Integration and Emerging Technology
  • Hands-on experience designing SaaS and B2B applications for desktop, web, and mobile
  • Proven experience working in design teams in Agile Product Development setting
  • Focus on Business agility, Agile delivery with a fail-fast mindset, and measurable outcome
  • Experience planning and conducting user research at various stages of the design process, all with a focus on the end user
  • Creative problem solving and analytical skills with ability to synthesize ideas into tangible solutions for design
  • Strong portfolio of design projects
