The Product Integrity department oversees the safety of products being sold or distributed with Disney brands, characters and other intellectual property worldwide. Our corporate Product Integrity group is staffed with experienced engineers and safety professionals, around the world verifying licensees and vendor compliance. The Product Integrity Engineer/Analyst provides consumer product safety expertise whilst performing product safety reviews.

The Analyst or Engineer, Product Integrity, Licensing will act as a technical resource and safety consultant to Disney consumer products business units for promotional products as well as other retail products by communicating the regulatory and safety requirements. This role coordinates and communicates with licensees and vendors to properly test for the each country of distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to support the understanding of PI Promotional Products and other licensed programs and workflows. Provide internal and external onboarding’s and training for vendors and licensees on existing and any updated program requirements
  • Act as a technical resource and partner for vendors and small business licensees regarding product safety requirements for specific types of merchandise. Perform compliance verification product reviews and collaborate with related service providers
  • Identification and documentation of Product Integrity requirements for products utilizing the Product Integrity Management System for promotional products as well as utilizing the new PLM platform for Vertical Products

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing or quality environment as a compliance/regulatoryengineer or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and expertise of consumer product regulations in the US and Canada is required

  • Working knowledge of consumer product regulations in EU, LATAM, APAC preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to showcase those skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation and group dynamics skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient with Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Business, or Technology or equivalent work experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in children’s products design and development relating to consumer product manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance and safety compliance
