The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to provide technical support in the development and application of D.S. Brown's chemical systems. These systems are made up of adhesives, sealants, and 2K casting systems. Responsibilities include technical management of the existing adhesive, sealant, and 2k casting system product portfolio as well as development of new innovative products and applications. This individual will interact with both customers and vendors to troubleshoot field issues. This position also requires the individual to develop test procedures, tooling, and programs to support quality inspections of existing or new products.

What you'll do

  • Fulfill the role as primary subject matter expert (SME) for 2K Systems
  • Provide technical leadership and supervisory guidance to the development and application of products comprised of 2K Systems
  • Research, Determine, and Assist in Managing the correct materials, equipment, and processes for creating and manufacturing products
  • Contribute to the creation of, and manage projects to meet requirements of strategy, business plans, and customer needs.
  • Technical planning and Product Roadmap development
  • Recommend new policies, specifications, or procedures as necessary, including work instructions for use in the field and test procedures for the lab
  • Carry out lab evaluations to identify value proposition and develop application data for market extension with existing product and/or new product promotion in line with business objectives
  • Support technical representatives with product training and in trouble-shooting installation problems
  • Interface with raw material & system suppliers and evaluates equivalent materials
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Secure intellectual property on key technologies for the adhesive, sealant, and 2k systems businesses
  • Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.

What we need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Polymer Engineering/Chemistry
  • 5 + years of thermoset formulation
  • Strong knowledge of 2k system technology including epoxies, urethane, and polyurea
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, one-on-one or in a group
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
