POSITION SUMMARY

Veritone, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Product Owner to work directly with cross functional parties to document functional and technical requirements that meet business and engineering needs. You must have excellent business analysis, project management, and technical understanding of the agile development process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to discover business requirements and refine them into appropriately detailed user stories for the development teams to implement
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories in line with the product roadmap and vision
  • Work with product managers and technical leads to determine scope and priorities for product development cycles
  • Lead and support agile sprint planning
  • Lead agile retrospectives to refine and improve development processes
  • Create acceptance tests that clearly articulate requirements for features and releases
  • Interfaces with sales and support teams to support
    • operational processes (onboarding, configuration)
    • documentation
    • triage of support / processing issues

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability as a Product Owner requiring coordination across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile best practices
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication (verbal and written),and project management skills
  • Proven track record to manage, prioritize and successfully execute multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong technical background in software engineering
  • Strong understanding of Agile best practices and ceremonies
