Job Summary

The Product Specialist for Cell Biology works directly with the Product Development Manager to support life cycle management of existing products, this includes monitor catalog product inventory level, provide forecast and updates to planning group, prepare product’s marketing campaigns, and monitor market feedback. Additionally, the position will support new product planning, development, and market introduction, while assisting with the day-to-day of product management.

The team member fulfilling this position should be a highly motivated, hands-on scientist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Emphasis is on the ability to successfully perform experiments under no supervision and interact well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• The Product Specialist works under the supervision of the Product Development Manager to promote, maintain, and improve the existing or new Cell Biology products.
• Collaborates with a cross-functional team of product management, sourcing, operations, technical, finance and other key partners to support Cell Biology product portfolio initiatives and strategies.
• Supports product management with new product developments or initiatives including technical research, pilot studies, content gathering, and product launch.
• Supports product management with life cycle management of existing products including content review, improve marketing strategies, price adjustment, and product end of life (EOL).
• Supports product manager, R&D, technical marketing, and marketing communications to help implement marketing campaigns and strategies to support the sales growth of the Cell Biology product line.
• Works and collaborates with internal and external R&D labs on in flight projects to gather data, images, and content to support new product development, product application testing or product rebranding.
• Assist product manager in the day-to-day management of the Cell Biology portfolio (product support, inventory, project status inquiry, information gathering, incoming orders fulfillment support)
• Energize and align cross functional teams including marketing, operations, and R&D to support the growth of the Cell Biology Portfolio.
• Provide inventory forecast of an existing or new Cell Biology product through communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with Cell Biology Product Development Manager to conduct market research, identify potential OEM partners and facilitate further collaborations.
• Other duties as assigned or evolve

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; area of study in Bioengineering, Finance, Business, or Life Sciences (biochemistry, bioengineering, biology) preferred.
• Prior experience in Cell Biology Research (mammalian or plants) and/or Cell Therapy preferred
• Outside of the Box problem solver who can identify non-obvious trends or opportunities
• Experience with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization and working directly with customers
• Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
• Bilingual Chinese or Hindi is a plus. The candidate is expected to be meticulous and responsive and excellent in analytical, logical, mathematical, written, and oral presentation skills.
