Position Summary: Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within an established assembly area according to production schedule. Daily activities include reviewing and distributing production, work orders, ordering materials, shipment schedules, conferring with department supervisors and group leads to determine progress of work and completion dates, and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, and production problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate the distribution of work orders, assemblies, and/or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
  • Flag, communicate, and follow up on expedites where applicable.
  • Data entry of department KPIs into database using Microsoft office to support value stream boards.
  • Create the traveler documentation that facilitates workflow and traceability across the probes value stream(s).
  • Prepare documentation related to production sequences.
  • Request maintenance as needed within production area.
  • Compile data including production rates/progress and materials inventories, while providing status reports to supervisor as needed to complete updates.
  • Input of daily production jobs into the production process control database, accurately identifying the correct process field information and any specific job details
  • Coordinate with leads on work schedules, worker orders, and special instructions where applicable.
  • Execute on cycle count activities for the value stream(s) as needed.
  • Maintain dialog with Group Leader and Supervisor on status of work and raw material to assure proper production efficiency.
  • Facilitate training where applicable
  • Interface with all levels of the organization to expedite and communicate issues from the production departments.
  • Ability to learn and use Syteline ERP System for general lookups
  • Assist in assembly/inspection/packaging as needed by the supervisor where applicable.
  • Practice good safety and housekeeping procedures and adheres to all established policies and procedures.
Requirements:

Abilities/Skills Required:

  • Good communication skills and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work within the ERP system and leverage business intelligent tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel and work over equipment for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work and handle very small parts.(.003 diameter).
  • Skill with hand tools and running a semi-automated machine.
  • Skills with basic math, measuring tools, and ablity to understand dimensions on drawing.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn programs as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Skill with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to determine / recognize color coding.

Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years in a Manufacturing Administration environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of 5S / Six Sigma preferred.
