Program Analyst IV - Development Group (HOUSING & REVITALIZATION) & to establish a list
Job description
Under general supervision, the Program Analyst IV – Development Group is located within the City of Detroit Housing and Revitalization Department's Real Estate and Special Projects Division. This Division is responsible for all City surplus property and commercial land sales. The Program Analyst IV-Development Group is responsible for various real estate related tasks to support development projects, commercial land sales, leases and property acquisitions.
- Manage and support sales and acquisitions for various development projects.
- Manage necessary tax parcel splits for development projects.
- Research and solve title issues that may affect real estate closings.
- Administer real estate closings as required.
- Manage resolution of complex tax issues.
- Negotiate development agreements as required.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts and consulting work for the Division.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with major course of work in business administration, public administration, public policy, economics, finance, accounting, urban studies, information technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience involving real estate development.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted to meet the education and experience requirements of this position.

Licenses, Certifications, and Other Special Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License is required.

Physical Demands
The employee generally remains in a stationary position for an extended period of time operating standard office equipment which may include computers, telephones, photocopiers, and fax machines. The employee is expected to move about to accomplish tasks such as opening file cabinets and moving files. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Some work requires travel to meetings, conferences, closings, closing duties and other work sites with exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
