Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Office of Admissions within the New Jersey Medical School. Under direction of the Assistant Dean for Admissions, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the operational management of the admissions functions and is involved in all enrollment management aspects of admissions including planning, developing and managing information systems aspects of admissions. Responsible for overseeing information systems relating to admissions processing and data exchange service from the AAMC centralized application. This position will also be responsible for developing and administering the interview evaluation and assessment process of applicant competencies for entry to the MD program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

- Oversees, Directs and coordinates development and production activities, design and implementation of Admissions Information Systems.
- Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the medical school admissions process.
- Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures that all work and documentation meet the standards of the department and any project.
- Supervises student coordinators and tour guides as well as student interview coordinators and student interviewers.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring and supervising of student employees and managing their activities within the office.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in student services and operations.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate a thorough understanding of medical education issues as they apply to the recruitment and selection of students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of information systems, health professions, student development and medical school admissions process.
- Financial aid systems/methodology, medical school entrance procedures, and medical student support resources.
- Microsoft Office, Banner and related systems and reporting.
- AMCAS data systems.
- Awareness and sensitivity to socio-economic and cultural barriers that impact success.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
