Job description
Under the direction and supervision of the Associate Dean help coordinate the Nursing Program class schedules, recruiting, training, assignment, and scheduling of full and adjunct faculty. Assist in the coordination and completion of program reviews. Manage division supplies and equipment. Serve as a liaison for the division with students, monitor student progress in the program and provide appropriate advisement and consultation for students in division programs.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as a liaison for the division with students. Coordinate with Student Services/Advising and division members to provide appropriate advisement and consultation for students in division programs.
Coordinate with Student Services and faculty members to recruit students to division programs.
Recruit, train, and mentor adjunct faculty. Coordinate with assigned faculty and other College offices in their administration, and help adjunct instructors develop pedagogic skills and collegiality within the division. Provide and monitor effectiveness of orientation programs for new full and part-time faculty.
Coordinate assignment of full-time and adjunct faculty schedules
Oversee the supplies and equipment of the Nursing Division, including inventory documentation, surplus equipment management, and maintenance of equipment.
Assist in the coordination and completion of program reviews. Coordinate with faculty Program Coordinator to evaluate and improve program offerings.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Business
Successful teaching experience in higher education.
Health Sciences (Nursing preferred) experience.
Trade off 2:1 in Experience/Education Requirement
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or Organizational Management
Demonstrated leadership/management skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Understanding and sensitivity to diverse populations
Demonstrated experience managing projects, course development, and programs.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, technical procedures, accreditation and government requirements and regulations.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure drafts.
Ability to respond in a timely and professional manner to common inquiries or complaints from students, staff, faculty, administration, and members of the public.
Ability to make presentations to division groups, management, and public groups.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Have a working knowledge of computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) programs, internet software, and (preferred) SLCC college software programs, i.e., Banner, Canvas, Curriculog, SharePoint, etc.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, and ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
