· Should have experience with technical delivery of application development projects

· Should be comfortable working with technical team to facilitate effective decision making- even better someone who has delivered applications in Java tech stack

· Strong critical thinker who can quickly take details and summarize into an executive summary

· Strong influencing capabilities

· Self-learner - comfortable putting processes in place when not present

· Business stakeholders’ management

· Delivered applications that are critical for the business to run/sell and has managed it to steady state

Overview of Position

The Technology Project/Program Manager position manages and oversees all aspects of technology projects to ensure they are completed on-time and within budget. This position has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule related to multiple projects in a portfolio/domain. This role prepares regular communication regarding status of projects and works closely with various technology teams, stores and other departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Understands different project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall and leads projects/programs with the best practices from each as applicable

· Helps drive Agile transformation in the organization

· Keeps managers and project leads informed about project progress and issues

· Works closely with technology teams including, Asset Management, Support teams, Development teams, Infrastructure and Product Owners

· Develops project plans, goals, and budgets

· Develops schedules and methods for measuring results

· Organizes and plans all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion

· Assembles and coordinates project team members

· Plans and oversees the preparation and dissemination of project communication

· Leads, attends and participates in team meetings

· Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information

· Performs other requested tasks and duties

Experience and Skills Required

· College degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent related work experience required

· 7+ years of project/program management experience required

· Handles conflict effectively, seeing it as an opportunity rather than a problem, and working out tough agreements and settling disputes equitably

· Proactively accomplishes projects and other business-related initiatives by leveraging Information Systems resources

Prior retail experience a plus

· Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs

· Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization

· Ability to quickly separate mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week

· Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge

· Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once

· Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
