Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple commercial concrete projects from start to finish, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices, cost accounting, budgeting, and contract management. This is a non-remote, in-office and on-the-jobsite position.
Responsibilities:
∙ Manage commercial concrete projects, ranging in size from $50,000 to $20 million
∙ Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures
∙ Coordinate with Preconstruction Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery
∙ Creation/Review of Scope of Work Documents and Proposals.
∙ Review and negotiate contracts and change orders with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
∙ Commercial Concrete Blueprint Reading and Specification Review.
∙ Commercial Concrete Quantity Takeoffs.
∙ Creation of Site Logistic Plans and Project Schedules.
∙ Construction Document Control, RFIs, Submittals, and ASI Review.
∙ Manage and monitor project billing and invoicing to ensure timely payment
∙ Collaborate with Safety personnel to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices
∙ Provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) support to ensure project standards are met
∙ Regularly report on project progress, financial status, and potential risks to executive management
∙ Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
∙ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, or at minimum 5 years equivalent experience in concrete construction management
∙ Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the commercial concrete industry
∙ Strong knowledge of concrete construction practices, cost accounting, budgeting, and contract management
∙ Proficiency in project management software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook)
∙ Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
∙ Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
∙ Strong organizational and time management skills
∙ Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
∙ Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, and ability to travel as needed
