Amazon is seeking a high-performing data-driven Project Manager to drive DEI strategic projects in partnership with other internal teams including Global DEI, Data Analytics, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and other organizations with a vision of embedding the DEI lens into Amazon processes and mechanisms. The successful candidate will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment - you not only develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but you can roll up your sleeves, dig in and deliver results. You will create solutions to close gaps, develop and execute the build-out of sustainable, scalable, and systematic solutions to enable growth. You will continuously evolve management reporting, conduct complex data analysis, proactively identify risk, and deliver business insights in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. We are seeking someone with a demonstrated history of successfully owning and managing large, complex problems and engaging with cross-functional teams, and numerous stakeholders, directly and through influence. Strong project management skills plus a proven ability to help design and implement tools/processes are critical to the success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
- Project Management: Develop and deliver projects with large data sets utilizing technical tools and systems needed to work with them. Displaying proven problem-solving skills, project management experience, and strong attention to detail. Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate across business functions and levels of leadership.
- Communication: Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and various white paper analysis.
- Change Management: Develop change management strategies by identifying key stakeholders, approach, and communication plans for implementation of new processes, technology, and/or tools.
- Measurement: Develop measures to define progress and ultimate success; establish ongoing reporting requirements and key performance indicators for planning and ultimately realizing intended ROIs.
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project management (preferably using ASANA)
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or human resources
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive them to completion using project/program management tools
- Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to understand and report on programs/projects, and to drive necessary actions.
- Experience establishing business priorities, identifying and communicating risks and mitigation plans in collaboration with stakeholders; developing and maintaining goals, milestones and completion dates
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience
- PMP, CSM, or CSPO Certification
- Experience working with internationally distributed teams and/or on programs/projects for international customers.
- Experience implementing and maintaining processes in large-scale, complex environments
- Prior experience establishing and tracking program metrics including ROI
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal listening, communicating, influencing and negotiating skills coupled with ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise is required
- Understanding of DEI analytics, specifically inclusion or engagement analytics
- Ability to influence without direct authority
