Here’s what you can expect in the role as a Property Tax and Insurance Tracking Team Leader:

The Property Tax and Insurance Tracking Team Leader position exists to supervise a team of tax and insurance specialist.

Job Duties:

• Leads in all efforts related to efficiently and compliantly tracking taxes and insurance for customer accounts associated with property secured by VMF.

• Assists with coaching, mentoring, and advising Tax Specialists in the resolution of property tax matters on existing customers.

• Mentors and coaches team members through daily interactions, frequent meetings, and performance reviews.

• Conducts interviews as part of the process for hiring new team members and assists with training as needed.

• Responds to inquiries on tax payments, advances, escrow, refunds, payment adjustments and all aspects of customer service as it relates to property tax.

• Creates, reports and audit monthly goals for the team.

• Exhibits high level of judgment and discretion.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to qualify:

• High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

• Must have 1 year of leadership/management experience

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications

• Experience using Sequel Viewpoint and AS400 is a plus

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email, and person to person

• Capable of gathering facts accurately, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at sound conclusions on actions to be taken

• Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities

• Great attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times
• Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process
• Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment
