Responsibilities
Responsible for clinical telephone triage and consultation, child mental health education, and all aspects of the referral process for patients to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Participate in care coordination activities to remove barriers for families to participate in treatment. Specialized knowledge, judgment and skill are required in both mental health diagnosis and treatment methods. Apply the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate interactions with staff, patients and families of all ages.

We are seeking a Psych Clinical Services Coordinator to join our Eating Disorder Program clinical team. The Psych Clinical Services Coordinator will provide clinical referral information and care coordination to community callers, clinicians, patients, and families with specific emphasis on mobilizing additional psychosocial resources to meet patient and family mental health needs as part of the Eating Disorders Recovery Program based out of the Main Campus clinic and Magnuson clinic in North Seattle. The Eating Disorders Recovery Program is offering new initiatives for high intensity services via telehealth or in-person to youth with eating disorders and their parents/caregivers. The Psych Clinical Services Coordinator will provide clinical screening, triage and initial referrals for all new patients of the Eating Disorders Recovery Program, according to departmental clinical and program prioritization guidelines. The program will offer team members a high level of training and support, with an emphasis on providing care in a team-based approach. Preferred candidates will have experience working with youth and families, and interest in learning about eating disorders. To help ensure equity in access to services, all team members are expected to be available at least 1 evening per week. Preferred candidates will have a commitment to learn and actively engage in anti-racist work and effort.
This position is part of the Eating Disorders Recovery Program expansion, including the Eating Disorders Outpatient Clinic and the Eating Disorder Consult and Liaison service - to meet surge needs of eating disorder patients.
Requirements
Required Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of two (2) years college coursework in Social Sciences or related field - One (1) year of experience in a setting dealing with patients with Psychiatric conditions Required Credentials: - N/A Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related Social Services Degree - Registered Counselor Certification
