Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process to ensure that all materials and equipment required for the fleet's operations and shipyards are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with other departments such as operations, engineering, and finance to identify purchasing needs, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. Additionally, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate purchasing records, monitoring inventory levels, and tracking supplier performance. Warehousing and facilities management will be monitor and supported.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
- Bachelor’s degree desired.
- Previous purchasing, warehouse and logistics experience required.
- Previous experience in the commercial maritime industry required.
