Do you enjoy solving puzzles? Are you organized and detail-oriented? If so, Modern Woodmen is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Developers to ensure business objectives for each project are met. You will do this by helping them define, develop, and document project testing requirements for the purpose of creating, executing and maintaining test cases. You’ll also serve as an evangelist for quality assurance and user acceptance testing being a critical part of any implementation, and support that by adding consistency and transparency to the process.

What will you be doing?

• Identify project and business requirements and develop testing requirements through input from user departments, information technology, and quality assurance staff.
• Routinely communicate with individuals and groups on project test progress, issues, and solutions.
• Write, modify, and execute test cases.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate qualitative and quantitative findings from tests.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track results and known defects.
• Design, prioritize, and implement test scope, test plans, and test cases.
• Perform and facilitate testing.
• Participate in process reviews and facilitate the resolution of defects.

What do we expect from you?

• Associates degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field required.
• 1+ years in quality assurance or life insurance industry preferred.
• Strong detail orientation.

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.

Additional information about this opportunity:

• This is an hourly position starting at $24.89 per hour ($48,535 annually).
• This is a hybrid position (3 days in office/2 days work from home (WFH) per week), located at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, IL. Must be able to work in the office 5 days per week for initial job training. Some WFH days during training would be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
• This is a full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM.
• Currently, we're not considering candidates that need any type of immigration sponsorship (additional work authorization or permanent work authorization) now or in the future to work in the United States.
