In this role the QA Specialist will be responsible for evaluating products, creating and improving processes while working with buying, legal, and other teams involved in compliance and quality of Non-Food products sold by ALDI. The ideal candidate will have experience working with suppliers, manufacturers and third party testing labs with a background in a Regulatory Compliance or Quality Assurance.

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Provides recommendations based on product evaluations to Buying teams in order to make decisions on releasing or rejecting shipments.
- Liaises with external vendors in regards to quality assurance evaluations and test results to confirm correctness and credibility.
- Informs their leader of technical, legislative and quality matters within area of responsibility.
- Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
- Analyzes report information to maintain and improve quality of all non-perishable products, including safety, performance, sensory, and physical attributes and communicates results to Buying teams.
- Creates reports for product specifications and national brand comparisons.
- Communicates necessary product changes to keep product specifications up-to-date and ensure quality.
- Conducts technical and quality investigations in order to create reports for product specifications and national brand comparisons.
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
- Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physicals, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field required.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Safety required.
- Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
- Work is occasionally performed outdoors where product is assembled using tools.
- Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
- Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Travel:
- Domestic travel required.
- Up to 10%.
