• 
  Serves as the quality expert and enforces quality assurance/control processes and procedures as an embedded tester on a cross-functional product team.
• Creates detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans for front-end features (predominately React websites, with some mobile web/progressive web application support as well).
• Vets designs for usability and compliance pre-development. Wears the end user hat and asks intelligent questions/writes solid test cases.
• Estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities, including assisting the team with development estimates and release cadence.
• Performs manual testing of an application across multiple devices and browsers.
• Identifies, records, documents and tracks bugs from inception through release.
• Stays up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Documents issues with reproduction steps in a clear and concise manner for Developer to be able to fix.
• Works autonomously with moderate instruction or guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in QA
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Demonstrated skills sets and experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Ability to work productively in an Agile development process
• Proven work experience in software QA, specifically testing web applications and iOS applications
• Effective, consistent and impeccable communication (verbal and written)
• Exhibits a “test to break” mentality as usability, security, stability and compatibility are guiding principles for the Development Front-End team
• Self-starter, self-motivator, detail-oriented (unrelenting attention), highly organized. Motivated to excel, competitive in nature and does not confuse “efforts” with “results”
• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment including stressful situations
• Individual must be open to learn about and understand ‘niche’ industry
• Demonstrates and maintains flexibility and adapts to changes within industry and company

Preferred Experience and/or Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and two (2) years of experience in QA
• Experience testing mobile websites and applications
• Experience using Atlassian stack (Jira/Confluence) and Testrail
• Experience with UI/UX testing/vetting; a background in design is a plus
• Experience with Google Firebase
• Experience with Sauce Labs a plus
• Experience or desire to learn automated testing a plus.

• Requires travel less than 10%, including travel outside of the local area and can include overnight stay. Approximately 2-3 weeks on an annual basis.
• Base Work Location – Position based in or near Hunt Valley, MD, Washington, PA or Beaverton, OR. Position classification as “Remote Work” is available.
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes competitive base salary and benefits
