Job description

The Alma plant has an openings for QC Lead Auditor with opportunities for overtime. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Alma, KS, and enjoy competitive wages ($21.50/hr) along with a comprehensive benefits package. Work hours are 1st shift from 5:30AM-2:30PM, with occasional need to come in early or stay late as the need arises. Weekend work is required.

This is a supervisory position expected to work along with, oversee, and train several Quality Control Auditors.

Position will work with the Auditors to complete daily weight/product checks, label verifications, scale calibrations, oven/chiller calibrations, and other activities or job duties as assigned by the QC Manager. Following proper procedures, attention to detail, and accuracy of paperwork are extremely important in this position. Excellent communication skills are necessary. All while making people safety and food safety the number one priority. Will report directly to the QC Manager on shift.

Preference will be given for relevant food manufacturing experience. An ideal candidate would have experience with training and overseeing other employees, with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.
• The ability to read and write to accurately complete job related paperwork.
• The ability to perform repetitive hand & wrist motion throughout a shift.
• The ability to lift/push/pull 50+lbs as required throughout the course of a shift.
• The ability to twist and bend the body as necessary to perform job related tasks.
• The ability to kneel/squat/climb as necessary to complete job related tasks.
• The ability to perform grasping & pinching motions to complete job related tasks.

Working Conditions:

Refrigerated environment - temperatures average 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit.
