Essential Job Functions Include:
- Prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities, availability of resources and assisting other team members as needed.
- Demonstrate initiative to identify additional job-related tasks when time permits.
- Monitor KPI’s against expectations and adjust efforts in collaboration with the Quality Manager or designee.
- Design and develop inspections and procedures. Summarize and document inspection results to include internal auditing and all associated aspects.
- Collaborate with WARN leadership and team members during team meetings, value stream meetings, system reviews, safety meetings, and other forms of problem-solving discussions to further define and improve department strategies designed to meet and exceed quality and safety objectives.
- Train team members on process and procedure as directed and provide necessary follow-up and guidance to achieve professional development objectives.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned to meet team, department and organizational goals while actively demonstrating accountability and responsibility for achieving desired outcomes and measurable results.
- Develop appropriate technical documentation.
- Provide sustaining verification engineering support for existing inspection practices.
- Support team hardware/software training and mentoring.
- Support new program introduction process; to include phase gate process as applicable.
- Support Business Management System to include internal auditing and document control.
- Support Leadership Initiatives: Statistical Analysis
- Create control plans, associated documentation, implement effectively, and maintain.
- Participate in ensuring WARN readiness for internal quality audits. May assist the Quality Manager in developing the annual audit plan, train internal audit team members, provide communication/reporting of results and other necessary duties as assigned a certified internal auditor.
- Oversee the controlled document system, to include a final review of all changes to procedures, work instructions, forms, master lists and other associated documents to ensure quality certification requirements are met.
- Advocating as the "voice of the customer" demanding the highest quality expectations from the organization.
- Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
- Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
- Work safely and without injury.
- Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
- Performs other various duties as may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have direct report responsibilities.
Availability Requirements:
Due to the nature and scope of the essential functions of this position, the importance of personal interactions with coworkers and employees, and the availability of job-related tools, equipment and resources at work, performance of the essential functions requires regular, consistent availability, accessibility, and presence on-site and after-hours.
The required number of hours will vary depending on what is required to efficiently perform the job duties of this position. This position will require availability and accessibility to respond to and address emergencies and critical situations outside of normal business operating hours in the early mornings, evenings and/or during weekends.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of area travel may be expected.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or similar field and a minimum of 3 years inspection experience or 5 years’ experience and CQE or Certified Internal Auditor.
- Technical writing training or experience required.
- CQE preferred.
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO/IATF 16949 & ISO 14001) preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 preferred
- Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
- AIAG Core Tools related to application
- Warranty analysis & reporting

Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:

This position’s job duties are performed generally in a shop or warehouse type environment. Team members in this position may be exposed to loud noises from operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors, and possibly injury associated with work involving manufactured parts, assembly and heavy machinery. The team member may also occasionally be required to work in an office environment with traditional office lighting and office furniture, as well as consistent and frequent noise, interruptions and other similar distractions.
