Job description
The Radiology Trainer is responsible for assessing educational needs, develop programs and train all back-office staff. The Radiology Trainer is responsible for leading optimal patient flow and excellent customer service in accordance with WellStreet policies, practices, and procedures. The Radiology Trainer needs to travel between all clinic for training purposes, providing support and direction for each of the clinics. The Radiology Trainer also generates reports and performs audits on radiology to maximize learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Train all new back-office employees on radiology safety and positioning, as well as, systems/applications, and WellStreet processes and workflows during classroom & in-clinic training sessions.
- Monitor and guide new employees once they have moved from one-on one training to ensure they are comfortable with assigned work.
- Gathers and makes available appropriate educational resources (e.g., books, videos, and computer aids) for professional development and position related use.
- Update all training materials with the most current changes to ensure uniform training materials and outcomes.
- Consults with managers, staff, and other departments on developmental needs for back-office staff
- Discuss opportunities for improvement found through the auditing process with managers and employees, as necessary.
- Audit current employee charts to see if an employee needs help in an area.
- Conduct remedial and re-training for existing employees in an organized and timely manner using classroom materials and workflow shadowing.
- Listen to employee’s comments and concerns; address any problems and find a solution.
- Keep organized notes and records on employee progress.
- Update managers on employee completions or progress
- Attend regular Training Meetings prepared to present and report accordingly as required.
- Expected to be On-Call evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be possess 2 years previous experience as a certified as an X-ray technician.
- Must have completed an x-ray technician program from an accredited school.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
