Position Summary: Responsible for handling varying types of incoming materials; interacts with carriers, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Manufacturing; maintains a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity around the receiving dock and raw material warehouse.
This is a 1st shift position with core hours from 7am – 3pm, typically working Monday through Friday, with additional hours as required by overtime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming raw materials
- Receiving and inspecting returned products
- Using computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment
- Using forklifts, as well as manual and electric pallet jacks, as needed
- Performing bi-weekly inventory checks on solvents
- Performing daily and weekly cleaning
- Managing unidentified or damaged products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain available warehouse locations
- Assisting in labeling and packaging in the Shipping dept, as needed
- Assisting in others areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Obtain forklift certification upon hire
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
- 50 lb lifting/carrying requirement
- 100 lb pushing/pulling requirement
- Climb 14 inches or 20 ladder rungs
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum 1 year experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures.
- SAP experience preferred
