Summary: In this role you will be working with and managing sensitive data, including but not limited to accurately reading and interpreting data presented to execute tasks as well as compilation of reports for end user.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct nonpublic record research to include: various databases
  • Perform data entry to include client order requests and other various non-automated results
  • Submit searches to vendors, monitor progress and enter results
  • Perform quality control on vendor completed orders according to company standards
  • Identify needs and solutions for improving work flow.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to other team members
  • Assist customers and team members with inquiries and requests for information to achieve a satisfactory resolution when issues arise
  • Problem solve for the many variables within tasks, including assisting other departments as needed involving tasks in which you are directly responsible
  • Management time for strategic and efficient workflow with multiple layers of tasks assignments and workload fluctuates
  • Maintenance and management of workload assigned from two separate work queues
  • Ensuring utmost accuracy in all tasks and functions, to provide the highest quality product available
  • Maintain documentation used for systems related to tasks to ensure it is current so services are running at nominal speeds
  • Working in a first in, first out fashion regarding records you process ensuring your oldest work gets addressed first to be processed and closed, or attaining further information needed for search
  • Prioritizing tasks based on volume and time required for each task to ensure smooth workflow and maximized efficiency
  • Routinely managing information that comes through other areas such as email server, web-based document uploads or multi-day processes ensuring workload and new information is handled effectively; again, ensuring all steps are taken to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assessing workload as it is processed or assigned, ensuring your tasks are managed, as well as asking for or providing assistance to and from other departments.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Remote work qualifications

  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection.
  • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

  • Knowledge of screening industry, FCRA, and other compliance regulations

Education/Experience:

Associates degree or higher preferred. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, clients, and the general public.


Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to analyze and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ClearStar’s Microsoft Office Applications, live person chat capabilities, order processing systems, case management and database software.


Certificates and Licenses:

Previous experience with internet programs required; previous experience in employment screening industry preferred.
