Functional Title: Human Subject Research Coordinator/Recruiter

Reports to: Technical Research Associate, Evelyn Collins

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Recruit and schedule study participants at the off-site (Memphis) facility
2. Conduct multi-method community outreach activities
3. Locate participants who have participated in previous phases of the Memphis New Mother Study
4. Conduct consent procedures and conduct participant interviews as needed based on scheduling

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The post is for an individual to work primarily as a study subject recruiter and to assist as needed in conducting interviews for a longitudinal research project that will be collecting and assessing a broad range of data collected from mothers and their first-born adult children who have participated in previous phases of the Memphis New Mothers study. The research takes place at the Memphis New Mothers Study office, Memphis, TN. The post assumes an ability to exercise independent judgment and utilize a variety of methodologies to locate and engage potential study subjects under the general direction of the Human Subjects Research Coordinator II, to implement best recruitment practices for outreach to previous study participants. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.

COVID-19 considerations:
Some remote work is required. All staff will wear PPE when in the office and follow CDC and Shelby County Health department guidelines for face-to face visits.
