The Recruitment Engagement Specialist role is a position that moves our mission forward and helps change lives.
The Role - Member Engagement Specialist
This position recruits new girl and adult members to Girl Scouting by partnering with schools, faith-based and grassroots organizations, and community influencers. You will report to a membership manager.
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week that is also benefits eligible.
What you will be doing:
- Implements a plan to recruit new girl and adult members in targeted areas by using data, understanding each community, and building relationships with local volunteers and families.
- Generates leads to reach membership goals that reflect the diversity of the area served.
- Builds new and existing partner relationships with schools, youth-serving organizations, and faith-based organizations to engage new girl and adult membership.
- Achieves personal, team and council goals at strategic points in an 18-month membership cycle.
- Partners with local volunteers and families to extend awareness of Girl Scouting and provide access to membership.
- Fully engages as a member of a regional membership team.
- Attends local community activities to ensure Girl Scouting is visible, viable and accessible.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Supports policies and procedures of the GSGCNWI.
- Models behavior consistent with the Mission and purpose of Girl Scouting.

- Team-builder – Collaborates proactively and positively with staff and volunteers to create an environment of transparency, information-sharing, and accessibility.
- Data Quality – Strives to attain high levels of data integrity, while understanding the relationship of membership data and reports to reaching annual membership goals.
What you will bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience;
- Fluent Spanish preferred; conversational Spanish candidates invited to apply
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in membership or sales
- Highly organized with ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate through technology, as well as in person
- Basic proficiency or aptitude for inputting information in CRM/customer database system
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends required
- Experience and sensitivity working with diverse populations
- Reliable vehicle and current insurance to travel as needed within the council jurisdiction
