Responsibilities:

The Regional Chief Nursing Officer organizes and provides leadership in the areas of nursing and patient care services to attain Prime Healthcare objectives and clinical goals established by Prime Healthcare Management. In coordination with the corporate directives, provides supervision and guidance to Regional and Facility Management Team.


As the Regional Chief Nursing Officer, you will:

  • Foster a positive culture and personal growth by allowing employees to utilize their strengths and rewarding them for accomplishments.
  • Create and implement a standard of care to hospital plans, policies and equipment for providing safe care, treatment, and services to our patients.
  • Collaborate with corporate and facility leaders to develop, implement, and optimize patient services and programs while providing oversight of Divisional and Regional programs and initiatives.
  • Participate with the management and clinical leaders at the facility in decision making and implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care, treatment and services delivered.
  • Reviews program benchmarks and develops progressive, innovative and proactive clinical initiatives and ensures effective communication.
  • Oversees costs associated with personnel, supplies and equipment.
  • Must be able to travel within assigned region.
Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience


  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/management experience necessary.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing or related advanced administration/leadership degree required.
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
