Job Summary

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting corporate initiatives and assuring the brand standards are in place while leading retail plans to position the division for strategic sales growth. In this role they will coordinate, support, and communicate all on-going division retail priorities and work in tandem with the corporate marketing, merchandizing, culinary and technology departments on company initiatives, operational resources to drive corporate growth. The Retail Marketing Manager will work closely with Operational Services to ensure revenue, client/consumer satisfaction and FLIK marketing/merchandising goals are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the retail strategy and systems project plan, supporting division implementation and Retail QA.
  • Partners with field and corporate staff to create consistency in the retail brand and enhance the student and community experience.
  • Works in collaboration with the Sector Director of Retail Strategy to align corporate initiatives and standards across all retail outlets.
  • Responsible to lead division on computer based training retail certification and develop written training retail manuals
  • Recommend strategies to integrate regional product assortment and merchandizing to compliment brand standards.
  • Coordinate regional and corporate strategic projects with the marketing team.
  • Develop innovation that continues to keep the retail division current and on trend with marketing and merchandising practices while keeping a competitive edge with local food retailers and corporations.
  • Support preparation of the monthly retail marketing resources and create and communicate promotional material to the division.
  • Lead the retail opening requirements as it relates to FOH, marketing and communication.
  • Develop pro-active retail and product strategies to stay ahead of ever-changing retail landscapes and industry trends.
  • Report quarterly on retail store metrics and revenue driving developments to reach YOY goals and KPI’s
  • Work with operational services, IT, print and digital execution and other vendors as necessary.
  • Assist unit operators with their quarterly business reports that summarize the efforts of retail initiatives in their business.
  • Work with corporate sales, marketing and culinary when needed for regional site tours and refreshes.
  • Work with the corporate marketing/digital engagement manager to develop innovative digital strategies in student and parent engagement.
  • Perform additional tasks, related to business development and account openings and support.
  • Assist the marketing department in sales development strategies and newly created digital solutions.

    Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree with a minimum 3 years of experience in retail, foodservice management a plus with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a keen sense of merchandising and station presentation.
  • Must have strong writing skills to assist and create brand materials and voice.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Power Point
  • Strong prioritization skills to include being efficient in juggling several projects at the same time and communicating tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Experience with CRM platforms, CM, Canva, video content and editing applications a plus.
  • Position requires an average of 50% travel within the United States
