JOB DESCRIPTION

This positions offers the ability for the candidate to choose a part-time or full-time position along with offering Student Loan Assistance!

  • Plans, directs, and provides nutritional assessment and care to patients/residents and provides community nutrition education pursuant to UP Health System - Portage mission and philosophy.
  • Assesses patient's nutritional status and needs. Develops and implements patient care plans and assesses patient responses.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nursing, pharmacy and other healthcare team members/departments to determine, coordinate, and provide medical nutrition therapy.
  • Collaborates with nutrition services to provide nutritionally appropriate menus, food options, and services for patients and visitors.
  • Develops and provides education, training, consulting, and counseling services throughout the organization and for the community on topics including eating disorders, weight loss, and dietary modifications for healthy lifestyles.
  • Participates in all discharge planning meetings and patient/resident team conferences.
  • Participates as Consulting Dietitian and fulfills all consulting contracts.
  • Coordinates, implements, and evaluates all Portage Health policies and procedures related to diets/menus, drug/nutrition interaction, and nutrition education.

Must-Haves

  • School of Dietetics Bachelor’s Degree
  • Registered with Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Appropriate State License or Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Available Upon Hire

Nice-To-Haves

  • Two+ years’ Experience as Dietitian in Healthcare Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $56,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
