Job Summary and Qualifications

To provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process; responsible for the coordinating pre-testing and anesthesia screening of schedule, elective surgical patients and communication of same to physicians, as appropriate.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
• Current Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• For direct caregivers, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification issued by American Heart Association is required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelors degree in nursing preferred or working towards same.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing practice on a medical surgical unit; experience in hospital-based ambulatory surgery unit preferred.
• Encouragement to obtain certification in specialty.
