Registered Nurse RN – Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)

Select Specialty Hospital – Pontiac is a 30-bed critical illness recovery hospital located on the eighth floor of St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible.

Critical Care/Long Term Acute Care/ CCU RN Responsibilities:

• Critical Care Registered Nurses must be proficient in a wide variety of high-level nursing skills. Exceptional Critical
• Care RNs have strong interpersonal communication, leadership, and critical thinking
• Assessing a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans
• Assisting physicians in performing procedures
• Observing and recording vital signs
• Evaluating and ordering diagnostic tests
• Monitor the patients’ well-being, both emotional and physical
• Collaborates with members of the critical care team
• Administers intravenous fluids and medications

Job Requirements – Registered Nurse RN:

• 1-2 year(s) of previous Critcal Care experience (Vent and Trach exp Required)
• ACLS/BLS issued through American Heart Association
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Current Registered Nurse (RN License) in the state of employment or compact (multi-state) license

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,200.00 per week
