Registered Nurse / Pre-OP and PACU

Metro Anesthesia of Wauwatosa, WI is looking to hire a full-time Registered Nurse for our Pre-Op and PACU open position. Are you a skilled RN with OR nursing experience? A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRE-OP/PACU NURSE

As a Pre-Op/PACU nurse, you are an essential member of the surgical team. You administer diligent care to outpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention and continuous reassessment. In your role as post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU) you will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional and local.

Your communication and collaborative skills are essential as you work with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You keep concise, accurate, up-to-date, and complete records. You enjoy the camaraderie of being part of great team and feel good about providing excellent care for surgical patients during a vulnerable time!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRE-OP / PACU NURSE

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Experience as a Pre-Op and PACU/critical care setting preferred
• Current in BLS and ACLS
• Posses ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians and co-workers
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Valid nursing license

WORK SCHEDULE

This Pre-Op/PACU nursing position typically works Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
