East Side Surgery Center is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center located just off of I10 in Houston, TX. East Side Surgery Center offers complete quality care for patients needing outpatient surgery. The nurses and staff members are routinely rated as "excellent" by former patients for their one-on-one care and expertise. Types of surgeries performed include: pain management, orthopedic, spine, and general surgery.

Registered Nurse, Pre-Op/PACU

East Side Surgery Center is in search of a Registered Nurse, with at least 2 years experience in a Perioperative Unit caring for a wide range of surgical patients including Pain Management, Orthopedic, Spine, and General surgery.

Applicants should be experienced with providing OR and/or Pre-op/PACU care, be able to start IV's and perform patient education. Applicants must have their BLS up to date. Must have ACLS within 6 months of hire.

- Will be cross-trained in all clinical departments at ESSC including Pre-Op and Post-Op.

- Ensures that proper techniques and practices are used according to accepted standards of practice

- Ensure patient’s care is provided in accordance to policy and procedure. The emotional, physical and psychological needs of each patient should be met.

- Assists in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.

- Assists the anesthesiologist/CRNA as necessary.

- Performs other nursing duties as assigned.

- Assist with pharmacy as needed

- Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and Center business.

Job Type: Full-time, M-F - schedule dependent upon cases scheduled
