Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Time will be spent on both direct patient care and clinical operations.
• Patient care responsibilities include:
• Obtaining vital signs, placing allergy skin tests, administering injections, overseeing oral food challenges, preparing oral immunotherapy doses, assisting with emergency care, providing patient education.
• Proactive patient care including monitoring and responding to patient calls, messages, daily home treatment logs, and EMR messages.
• Administrative responsibilities include ordering labs, obtaining insurance approvals, scheduling, data entry, ordering medications and restocking clinical supplies.
• After demonstrating clinical assessment skills, participating in hotline duties.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• California RN license is a plus
• BLS/CPR certification obtained within 30 days of hire
• Phlebotomy certification or experience with pediatric blood draws
• Personable and professional, especially with pediatric patients and their parents
• Strong communication skills

Preferred

• Experience in allergy and/or pediatrics
• 1 year of RN experience
