Summary

Conduct analyses of information affecting reinsurance and profit-sharing programs. This position is primarily responsible for reinsurance, profit-sharing, and funding reporting. Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality is critical for this position.

Required Education and Experience

· High School diploma or GED

· Strong mathematics proficiency: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, commissions, percentages, and volume.

· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

· Data entry experience

Preferred Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance discipline

· 2 or more years of proven experience as an Accountant

· 2 or more years of reinsurance, insurance, or warranty experience in a related field

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

· NAIC annual statement reporting

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

· Standard days are Monday through Friday

· Standard hours are 40 hours per week (dependent on workload)

· Schedule flexibility will be allowed if pre-planned and approved

· Ability to work additional hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines, peak business needs, company, and industry demands

Essential Functions – General

· Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for two hundred seventy-five (275) or more small non-life reinsurance companies including internal and external reporting and tax reporting

· Quarterly and annual reporting for over fifty (50) profit sharing arrangements

· Monitor over 150 profit sharing arrangements

· Support, develop and enhance reinsurance reports

· Prepare monthly Funding reports and related journal entry

· Assist with development of department schedules and procedures

· Assist in meetings with reinsurers to discuss results and expectations

· Provide support for independent internal or external audits as assigned

· Identify month end mapping changes to reinsurers

· Must have the ability to work overtime as needed

· Build, strengthen, and maintain positive business relationships by establishing rapport with agents, dealers, and internal personnel

· Use banking websites to create reports and download bank statements

· Perform manual data entry into reinsurance reporting system

· Balance transactions and reports

· Distribution of reports via email and delivery services

· Assist in developing processes to support future growth of the insurance and reinsurance functions

· Work closely with the Reinsurance and Funding Director to identify any possible internal control issues or concerns, problem solve, make recommendations, and implement process improvements

· Safeguard Company assets against theft, fraud, or other illegal acts

· Keep appropriate personnel informed of changes to customer account information

· Recommend system and report improvement opportunities

· Endeavor to remain composed and resilient in the face of conflict with internal business relationships embracing each encounter as an opportunity for professional growth

· Address customer issues promptly and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution

· Communicate and resolve issues in a professional, timely and tactful manner while keeping Manager informed of employee concerns, issues, and problems

· Maintain ongoing two-way communication promoting professionalism, teamwork, positive employee morale, and outstanding customer service

· Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area

· Willingness to accept additional tasks, special projects, and other related duties and/or direction as assigned and work collaboratively with other AGWS Managers and staff

· Must have the ability to work additional hours, holidays, and weekends as needed

· Interact with Management and guests presenting a polished and professional image in all settings

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
