Description:

Reporting and Analytics Senior Analysts performs mainly technical skill tasks, as well as contributes to project leadership and administration on quality improvement initiatives; completes work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. May work on between 3-5 projects at a time. Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: leads or assists with the development of and provides technical assistance for the development and coding of quality measures; reviews data received from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives; analyzes data including developing quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results of quality or population health metrics; composes technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials; presents results in clear format to non-technical audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with institutional review board (IRB) applications and other data governance requests; designs and executes linkage strategies for connecting administrative datasets. Select projects may also require the Senior Researcher to work with data dashboards and address data quality issues.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or experience and 4 years of relevant experience. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Additional Desired Qualifications

Experience working on quality improvement initiatives or population health research, including developing or coding clinical or population health quality measures. Requires successful completion of a background check.

The Senior Researcher will focus on: 1.) developing clinical quality and population health measures using data sources such as Electronic Health Records, Medicaid claims and Vital Statistics birth and death records; 2.) developing and building small scale data collection tools used for quality improvement purposes; 3.) analyzing and developing reporting protocols for administrative data; and 4.) creating and leading the dissemination of data reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
