CURRENT OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR TEAM:

The Wood County Human Services Department has an immediate opening for a full-time (.97 FTE) Reporting System Clerk position. Responsible for accurately reporting PPS (Program Participation System) data regarding County provided services by client, date of service, and diagnosis while following the State of Wisconsin’s mandated guidelines. Services are exported from our Electronic Health Record and are interfaced with the Department of Health Services reporting system for our Behavioral Health Services. The State utilizes this data for current and future funding programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES

A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Compile, analyze and enter statistical data, referrals and enrollments into Electronic Health Record (EHR) Software for various programs within Human Services.
2. Comprehensive understanding of Human Services Behavioral Health programs and the needs pertaining to PPS Reporting.
3. Monitor discharges for accuracy, correct any inaccurate information. Coordinate with program staff to verify accuracy.
4. Build reports from Electronic Health Record and reconcile reporting to EHR data verifying accuracy. Correct data as needed. Export PPS reporting to the State of Wisconsin in timely manner.
5. Submit quarterly C-COP data to State of Wisconsin for State funding.
6. Download data from the Data Warehouse pertaining to Children’s Long Term Support payments and denials of claims.
7. Responsible to know and practice the Safety policies of the County. Perform all job tasks in a safe and prescribed manner.

B. OTHER JOB DUTIES
1. Prepare and distribute monthly PPS reports and furnish turnaround documents to vendors.
2. Maintain and audit electronic file for quarterly reports/exports, Mental Health and AODA PPS module forms and other supporting documents pertaining to the PPS reporting process.
3. Assist with program and administrative reimbursement reconciliations, audits and reporting.
4. Prepare data for agency Annual Report, grant applications and other inquires to Human Services Director and other staff.
5. Provide backup coverage for reception and administrative staff as needed.
6. Any other duties as may be assigned.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS
Two to three years’ experience in data entry and statistical reporting is required. One to two years’ accounting experience is desired. Knowledge of and proficient skill with computers and software (Word, Excel, Outlook and other software as required) and the ability to learn any software upgrades and changes that may occur. Proficiency using a calculator is required. Ability to work under pressure, independently, and attention to detail, is required. Reading, writing, adding, and subtracting is needed for maintaining and creating various statistical reports. Basic everyday living skills are needed, as is the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions (keep up to date on changes in State reporting requirements) and to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. This position may require travel to and from off-campus sites. Individual may use personal vehicle or other means of reliable transportation.
