Job Description
The position is in multiple academic/industry research consortia, namely, Tulsa University Fluid Flow Projects (TUFFP), Tulsa University Paraffin Deposition Projects (TUPDP), Tulsa University Horizontal Well Artificial Lift Projects (TUHWALP), and other related research projects within the McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering. The consortia and related projects research multiphase flow in pipes and wellbores utilizing State-of-the-art experimental test loops and computing facilities.
The Research Associate will conduct experimental research on pipelines and gas transportation utilizing pilot scale facilities. Specific responsibilities of this position include operating flow loops, acquiring and analyzing the data, preparing progress and final reports, and participating and making presentations at progress update meetings.
Required Qualifications
BSc. degree in chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering. Demonstrable prior experience in plant and process facility operations. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
MSc. and/or Ph.D. degrees in chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering. Previous experience in a university setting and a record of managing, conducting and publishing experimental research on fluid mechanics and process topics.
Physical Demands
Working in experimental facilities that may be outdoors. Standing and walking is required.
