Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Research faculty, the Research Engineer II (RE2) facilitates designing, developing, implementing, and performing research experiments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, method development, design of automatic data collection programs, design and drafting of fixtures and test apparatuses (using rapid prototyping, manual machining or other methods). The RE2 also provides technical biomedical engineering support in the design, repair, modification of specialized equipment and their applications.
Qualifications
Experience
Two (2) years experience in electrical, biomedical, or mechanical engineering, advanced mathematics or physics statistics, computer simulation systems, control systems, or related field required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical, biomedical, or mechanical engineering or related field required.
Master's degree in related field preferred.
Preferred: Maintain and design equipment used in biomedical engineering or related field, technical documentation or writing capabilities, familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
