Position Summary

Conducts applications research and updates Baldwin catalog applications sections. Performs market research on potential products and product lines. Completes special research related assignments. Maintains catalog applications files and answers inquiries concerning applications and other catalog information. Is responsible for accuracy and coding of computer input and typesetting of application information. Examines new models and determines filters used.

Responsibilities

1. Is responsible for conducting research to update catalog application sections. Includes Farm catalog, Caterpillar Serial Number Index, and dealer wall charts.2. Writes and codes new applications for input into the computer.3. Performs market research on potential products and product lines, receiving direction from management.4. Completes special assignments of a related nature as requested.5. Maintains application and/or new equipment universe files. Ensures records are current.6. Responsible for answering written, email, and telephone inquiries concerning application and other catalog information.7. Attends trade shows to survey equipment and gather information necessary for application research.8. Attends filter organizations and conferences to obtain and trade application information.9. Operates general office equipment including a personal computer.10 Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Required: High school education with course work in business.Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the General Manager.Preferred: Associate’s degree with emphasis in marketing and approximately three years experience in the sales and catalog fields.SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Knowledgeable in the operation of personal computers and software including, Microsoft Office and Windows. Use of office equipment (phone, fax, copiers etc.).
