Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve departmental objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs all duties of the departmental positions he or she supervises

2. Understands completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.

3. Directly supervises and coordinates all departmental operations.

4. Ensures that guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times

5. Produce departmental labor schedules to handle the anticipated business activity and to ensure labor cost objectives are met.

6. Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

7. Assist Owner in employment, discipline and termination decisions.

8. Continually strive to develop staff in all areas, including technical and customer service related.

9. Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.

10. Ensure that all equipment is maintained in a clean and excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.

11. Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.

12. Ensures a high level of sanitation and cleanliness is maintained in all areas of the restaurant, ensuring that proper sanitation and food safety procedures, as defined by applicable local, state and federal regulatory agencies, are implemented, maintained and followed by all employees at all times.

13. Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and assist in general manager in administering prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.

14. Performs any other job functions as necessary to ensure the continuation of fluid operation of the business.

15. Assists general manager in conducting periodic meetings with employees to discuss and/or correct problem areas or areas of concern.
