Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

Reports to: Restaurant Manager/F&B Director

Compensation: Hourly based on experience

The Blockade Runner Beach Resort on Wrightsville Beach is looking for a food & beverage leader to join our team as Front of House Food & Beverage Supervisor. We encourage front of the house staff to apply that are looking to take the next step in their career and move into a management position.

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to supervise front of the house food and beverage employees and promote positive guest experiences while at the resort. The Supervisor is responsible for communicating employee performance and guest satisfaction to the Manager daily. The Supervisor will also make sure service staff is adhering to standards as established. There should be a focus on exceeding guest expectations. This position relies heavily on communication. Supervisors are expected to have basic knowledge of a food and beverage operations, alcohol knowledge, and basic supervisory skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

§ Responsible for the day-to-day operation of East Oceanfront Dining
§ Provide floor supervision throughout shift
§ Properly handle and resolve guest complaints, and communicate them to appropriate personnel
§ Ensure that guest satisfaction is met through consistency of service protocols
§ Maintain alcohol control systems and properly requisition items as needed
§ Maintain Blockade Runner Food and Beverage Department guidelines and procedures
§ Maintaining cleanliness of the dining room, dinner deck, wait station, etc
§ Filling in for absent staff as needed.
§ Assisting with special events as needed.
§ Greet all guests, managers, Blockade Runner staff, and owners warmly and professionally.
§ Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
§ Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort.

Requirements

§ Mature and customer service focused personality.
Ability to lead and guide a large staff.
Positive interpersonal skills required.
Working knowledge of POS systems a plus.
Fine dining experience a plus.
Must be available to work full time including nights and weekends.
Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends, and holidays
