The Good Feet Store, a leading retailer of foot, knee, hip and back pain solutions, is hiring one Retail Sales Associate for our San Luis Obispo location. We are looking for someone who has experience in commission + hourly retail sales, who is passionate about helping people. We are open from 10AM to 6PM, 7 days a week so our ideal candidate need to be able to work a normal 40-hour week to include one or both weekend days, with flexible days off.

The training period is vital to your success, so any attendance issues during training could negatively impact your employment experience.

Overview:

Arch Support Specialists work as a member of the retail team to bring the Good Feet brand to life. They are “Brand Ambassadors” who build excitement and energy around our products and accessories. They are passionate about the comfort and wellbeing of our customers and thrive in a moderately paces retail environment where the customer experience and technological innovations are constantly evolving. They work to build significant and lasting connections with our customers to ensure all their needs are met even after they leave our stores. They are constantly striving to understand the needs of our customers to ensure a perfect fit and comfort for years to come.

This role is a learning role, where new Arch Support Specialists are partnering with Senior Specialists and Managers to proactively build their skills and proficiencies in preparation for the next level in their career path here at Good Feet. As an Arch Support Specialist, you will be required to successfully complete new employee training and consistently meet a set of sales goals and criteria in order to be eligible to be promoted. The decision for any Arch Support Specialist to be promoted to Senior Arch Support Specialist is at the discretion of their direct Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Average pay: $40,000-60,000 annually, based off of an hourly rate plus commission

Starting Hourly Wage from $16.00 per hour

Paid Time off accrual and Sick Leave

Job Responsibilities (After Training):

• Understand and adhere to the mission statement of The Good Feet Store and all store policies.
• Greet each customer and seat them for personalized arch support fitting within 30 seconds of their entering the store.
• Confidently present the Good Feet Demonstration to the customers using the provided script and without missing any steps.
• Understanding the basics of foot anatomy as delivered in the training, as well as what would limit who we are and not allowed to fit into supports.
• Comprehensive product knowledge of each style of support and accessory: Strengtheners, Maintainers, Relaxers, Alzner, Arch Activators, cushions, Brooks shoes, Archie’s, OS1st Etc.
• Suggests additional products and accessories at every sale closing to enrich the customer’s Good Feet Experience: Massagers, Socks, flip flops, shoes, laces, extra supports, extra cushions, etc.
• MUST complete the three customer follow up phone calls as outlined in the “Follow Up Policy”.
• Understand the process for using the register as well as Zoho, Podium, Acuity and Trax. *See “Support Tool Usage Policy”
• Exceptional phone etiquette when answering calls, reviewing voicemail box, and responding to missed calls the same day, or if the call was missed after hours, then within 1 hour of the start of the opening shift the next business day.
• If all Specialists are assisting other customers when a new customer arrives, excuse yourself briefly and greet new customer with coffee, a card, or an offered appointment before returning to your customer.
• Adherence to “Post Fitting”, “Sanitation”, and “Stock and Store Maintenance and Merchandizing” policies as outlined in the attached policies.
• Comprehensive knowledge and adherence to the Open and Closing Checklists.
