Job Summary

Responsible for directing quality, risk management, and the service excellence initiatives throughout the Avera McKennan region and serves in a consulting role to Avera Health on service excellence. Responsible for all aspects of the hospital quality improvement projects and implementation of national quality initiatives. Will directly supervise quality improvement staff in Medical Support Services and will work closely with medical staff leadership to assure integration of hospital and medical staff quality efforts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing four four-year college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• Strong interpersonal, teambuilding, and organizational skills required.
• Three to five years of management experience preferred.
• Previous experience in Risk, Service, and Quality preferred.

Work Schedule

• No weekends or holidays.
