Parkridge Valley, a two-campus behavioral health facility with Parkridge Health System, has served the Chattanooga area for over 40 years, providing expertise in treating a broad range of mental health and chemical dependency issues for all ages.

This is a FTE/EXEMPT OR NON position at our Parkridge Valley Adult location.

Behavioral Healthcare - Parkridge Valley Hospital

Job Duties:

• As the Intake Coordinator, you will respond to calls for psychiatry services responding appropriately to the identified needs of the caller and patient.
• You will coordinate activities with Respond Department and Respond Director to assure accurate record keeping and efficient patient flow.
• You will ensure EMTALA compliance at all times and reports any concerns to the Respond Director immediately.
• You will coordinate communication related to all assessment and admission activities, ensures rapid throughput for the emergency department, requests additional resources when needed based on volume, and works with multidisciplinary team to move patients to disposition quickly.
• You will coordinate and participate with appropriate interested parties and physicians through the patient response inquiry, and admission process.
• You must have the ability to remain calm during crisis situations.

• RN License (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
• Psychiatric or Behavioral Health Services experience preferred
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within 30 days of hire
