Title: Sr. Controls Engineer

Description

The Sr. Controls Engineer purpose is to drive the business forward by executing projects on time, on budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction. The Sr. Controls Engineer works with our customers to ensure that their scope of work is accomplished successfully and all PLC's and/or HMI's are running correctly. This person may also act as the lead on projects and could turn into project management in the future.

Responsibilities

· Lead multiple projects simultaneously on different scale levels

· Coordinate project budgets, costs, margins, schedules, scope, quality, and customer expectations

· Develop project estimates

· Manage the development and troubleshooting of PLC & HMI code as required. There may be multiple systems used by the customer or client

· Work with the Sales Department to maintain and build relationships with customers and present data, project scope of work, designs, etc. with them

· Attend job walks, start-ups, commissioning, project close out meetings, etc.

· This person is still a working Controls Engineer actively involved with projects including PLC/HMI design/programming, hardware design, commissioning, etc.

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science in Engineering or 7+years experience in control system/system integration or project management

· Prior experience leading controls and integration resources

· Experience in job cost analysis is helpful, along with budget management, time and schedule management, resource management, and scope management

· Advanced experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMI

· Experience with PLC and HMI design

· Experience in robotics would also be helpful (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.)

· Comfortable in a fast-paced and high stress environment

· Travel as required

Job Type: Contract

Salary: Up to $50.00 per hour

• HMI Software: 1 year (Preferred)
